I have been passed this little "Honest Scrap", which means I am supposed to tell you some things (10 but I might not be able to think of that many) that you may not know about me. Here I go...
1. I'm starting to love photography... I wish I had the talent and the Camera!
2. I am a clean freak with everything but my bedroom... haha
3. I was a bully in Elementary school!!
4. I love going to the beach but I'm not the biggest fan of the water... its always just a pain. You get all sandy and its always freezing. Ok maybe I like the water I just hate getting out afterwards
5. I like to try new things but not with an audience. I get so nervous!
6. My first word was "no"
7. I love dance parties with just girls
8. I'm pro at changing in the car (usually just from my school clothes to workout clothes)
9. Everyone asks me for help on their iPods/iPhones/iTunes and I really have no idea what I'm doing most of the time... usually I just guess lucky
10. I was a Cheerleader for 6 years (2 in middle and 4 in high school) and learned how to do a back tuck in the air
OK I'm sending this to...
Kiara, Angie, Brandi, Aubree, and Alissa!!

Parties, Prizes, and Powder
I went out to Provo again this weekend. I got there Friday night grabbed some Spoon Me with Aubree and Lauren, then headed to Marissa's house. My cousin Marissa invited me to go to her party she was having at her house. I was a little hesitant because she's 15 lol. It was actually really fun. We watched twilight and then played truth or dare. I haven't played that since I was 15 I think hahaha.
Saturday morning I met up with Lauren and Aubree again at Chipotle :) I love that place. I remember so many times meeting up with them at Chipotle in California. Funny how things change but stay the same! So I had been wanting to go to this Bridal show at Thanksgiving Point so we decided to go... It was pretty interesting. There were a lot of vendors there with different things to offer. I got some pretty cool ideas. The best part of the show was that I won a free engagements session with Green Apple Photography!! I'm obsessed with her pictures! http://www.greenapplephotography.blogspot.com/. We went and tried on more wedding dresses and it helped but I'm still not for sure if I have the one! I totally would if it wasn't so much money...
Aubree told me about this thing in Spanish Fork she wanted to go to called the Festival of Colors. It was at the Hare Krishna Temple. This festival represents the passing of winter into spring, "Holi". Traditionally, colored powder or water is thrown to signify the joy and colors of spring arriving. It was soooo fun!! I really felt like I was a Hippie at a cleaner version of Woodstock or something. It was insane how many people were there. I wasn't there for the beginning powder throw and I am sort of glad. People said they were breathing in the chalk for about 7 minutes. No thank you! By the time it would have settled to my level it would have been like 10 minutes! lol
It was one of the coolest experiences!

Finally Set the Date!!!
Ok so after wayyyyy too much thinking and figuring out details, we set a date to get married!
AUGUST 14th. SAN DIEGO TEMPLE. 10 am.
Wow it's such a relief! I called them to make the appointment and I had no idea how many questions they ask. Hahaha! They lady asked for my fiance's full named and sorta giggled when told her all four of them (First, middle, middle, Last). I thought it was funny lol. So I'm getting pretty excited not just stressed. It seems so official now :) I told my mom of the plans I made and she was relieved we finally decided so she can book the reception place. I think we are planning on staying in San Diego the night before so we will have time to be ready by 9! I am having a reception the night of in Riverside and one the day after in Irvine. When I called my dad, he was pretty excited and had a bunch of really good ideas. When him and my step mom got married in San Diego they rented this place for like an hour that looks over the beach to take pictures at. I love this idea and maybe we can do an exchanging of rings thing there! He said that it didn't work out for them though cause people went to go check out of their hotels before they went over and it was too late once people started getting there. But that's not gonna happen to me right?? ;) He also mentioned maybe that night we should get a hotel room in Irvine or close so we won't have to get 2 rooms before we leave (hopefully to Mexico on a cruise) but we will see because I really want to stay at the Mission Inn. My mom and step dad stayed there a few nights after they were married. Wow I didn't notice that I follow in my parents footsteps so often lol so those are my tentative plans....

I forgot where I came from!
I was on the phone with my dad the other day and this is how the conversation went...
Dad: Kassie I've been meaning to tell you, I was looking at your blog and it says born and raised in California.
Kassie: Ya....
Dad: Kass where were you born?
Kassie: OHHHHH! lol Provo...
So basically I think I'm having dementia issues. Really, who forgets what state they were born in?

If I had a Million Dollars
For some odd reason the song, "If I Had a Million Dollars" has been stuck in my head lol :) I have been thinking a lot about money lately and of course stressing. I was just playing on the computer, (when I should have been studying for my anatomy test) and found some funny quotes about money I thought you'd enjoy...
It is better to spend money like there's no tomorrow than to spend tonight like there's no money.
The safest way to double your money is to fold it over once and put it in your pocket.
A man who has a million dollars is as well off as if he were rich ( are millionaires not considered rich anymore??)
When people ask me if I have any spare change, I tell them I have it at home in my spare wallet.
Ever wonder about those people who spend $2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
There were times my pants were so thin I could sit on a dime and tell if it was heads or tails.
Money won't buy happiness, but it will pay the salaries of a large research staff to study the problem.

My Trip to P Town
Me and Brandi decided to go to Provo last night to change our scenery and its my Spring Break! I picked up my ring!! It's so good to have it back haha. I finally got to go to Cafe Rio last night! haha I LOVE that place. So then we surprised my friends Lenzie and Chelsea and hung out with them for a bit and caught up on life. It was pretty fun to see them again, they are so entertaining! This morning we woke up and went to the ring store and then decided to go to the mall. I love window shopping (especially if that's all you can do with less than no money lol). I got a few things but not without clearance! haha We ate at Olive Garden and stuffed ourselves! Then we decided to face the scary world of wedding dresses. I honestly was so nervous walking into the first bridal store and I'm not sure why. I found a few dresses I liked and thinking back on them I really LOVE two of them. One already is modest and the other isn't and I don't really like that. I don't like when you can tell you had sleeves added. We will see what happens. It was pretty hard not having my mom there. I actually hated it. I just want her opinion and her to help me make the final decisions. I guess it happens to a lot of people who go out of state for college, but it's different when it's you. Maybe she can make it out soon but we will see. It's going to be super hard to plan a reception in California when I am here and vice versa. There is so many details that we still have to figure out that is sort of stressing me out. (like a DATE!!) Sorry to vent but tonight I realized this wedding is going to be pretty emotional and hopefully I can fight through it. I'm glad to know my loved ones love and support me in my decisions and that will only make it easier. Thanks for coming Brandi!

Babysitting 4 Kids!
So Shawn and Heather went to Nauvoo last weekend and I watched their kids. We had a pretty fun and eventful time. On Friday when I got there Hannah had a 103 temperature and wasn't feeling too good. The other kids were ecstatic to see me and wanted to show and tell me all of the new things of theirs that I haven't seen before. Caleb was a little uneasy at first but turned out to be connected to me and actually saying my name! (Before whenever I would say "say Kassie" he would say "LANDON!!" so it was a successful visit! haha)
We had to stay entertained because if the kids were bored they would let me know! haha So we did all kinds of things like watched the dances Sarah and Weston made up...
gave Caleb a Mohawk...
went to visit Landon at the Gateway and watched the water show...
played games at the apple store while we waited for Landon's phone to get fixed...went downtown to see a play and rode the "rain" (train) as Caleb would say...We crammed a lot into one weekend! After we got home from the play Hannah told me, "I'm gonna puke!" and ran into the bathroom and did exactly that. And then she did it once an hour that whole night. It wasn't too bad after I changed the sheets twice and then decided to make her a bed by the toilet. She would fall right back to sleep after she would do her deed but I can't say the same for me. I didn't sleep much that night but it was okay. The next day she was pretty weak so we painted nails and did hair to make her feel better. The overall weekend was pretty fun and I'm glad I could help out! Heather said that it would be the best kind of birth control and I don't disagree at all! hahaha I love her kids but there's no way I could do that everyday! It makes me grateful for all moms everywhere!

We are engaged!!
Wow it's still weird to say it out loud! Okay so here's how it happened but this is just my point of view and my feelings so sorry if its too many details...
First of all Landon was supposed to go back East Monday but had a little mishap with the ticket dates :) So he came over and I was still in my pajamas and he was a little frustrated and was rushing me (now I understand why, and if I would have had a heads up on what would be happening later that day I might have been a little faster lol). So after I got ready we went to Swaseys and bought some food to make for lunch. Once we got to his house he suggested going on a picnic. So we packed up our food and went on a four-wheeler ride just behind his house. I know what you are all thinking... you totally knew it was coming right? Well I told Landon that as soon as he was all romantic one day, I was totally gonna know but he said that maybe he would fake me out a few times first. So I just thought it was gonna be just a plain romantic lunch haha. He wasn't even supposed to be in town so how would he have planned this and why wouldn't he have proposed before he left if he actually had a ring?? haha well despite my pessimistic attitude he surprised me. So I haven't been feeling very good, so we were laying on the rock after lunch just talking. He sat up real quick and reached into his pocket. I was pretty confused and got nervous. He took his phone out of his pocket and said, "Oh I just missed a call." haha. Landon just bought new True Religions and he asked me, " hey does your pants have this little pocket?" (the little pocket inside the big pocket on the front of your pants) and I said "yaaa". He said "how deep does it go?". Then he reached in his pants and pulled out the ring. He had a huge smile on his face and said. "Kassie Lynn Fausett will you marry me?" (I just had a huge adrenaline rush just typing that!!) I gave him a huge hug which was kinda scary cause we were close to falling off the rock haha. Of course I was crying but I couldn't stop smiling! There is no doubt in my mind that we are meant to be together for time and all eternity!

We both wanted to take pictures of the moment so here is one we took after the proposal!!! I love my ring!!
It's funny looking back at the day because he was so antsy and nervous but I really didn't notice then!
Ya we don't know any details but we are aiming for getting married this June, hopefully sometime this summer in the Salt Lake Temple :) I'll let you know when I know more!
I'm so excited to be Kassie Nelson!!
